I have been working out with Coleen at Boston Personal Training for a little over a year and a half. I was a gym regular but was not really seeing results until I started with Coleen. The varied workouts, full body focus and regular motivation have me in better shape at 57 than I have been in years. And somehow she gets you to do more core work than you realize without it being 1000 sit ups.

We did not miss a beat with COVID. With a few minor pieces of equipment in my home, Coleen and I have met on FaceTime twice a week throughout the lockdown.

And since it is one on one in a spacious and airy room, I am back to visiting her facility in Sherborn and feel totally comfortable.

About the Team: Meet Coleen

I have been an athlete since I was 8 years old and participated in track and field competitively from elementary school until I graduated college. After running indoor and outdoor track for those 15 years I finally took a break for 7 years knowing I would be back to some kind of fitness. In 2011 I gave birth to twin girls and decided it was time to get back into shape, this is when I started Crossfit and then ultimately weightlifting in 2014. Weightlifting was the best thing to happen to me because it came at a time in my life when I needed it the most. Weightlifting brought me the peace, joy, strength, and discipline I craved and needed to raise twins on my own. I bring this joy and passion to my clients everyday and I love helping them achieve a level of fitness they have not yet reached on their own.

When I'm not working or in the gym training for my next local or national weightlifting competition I am at home having fun with my kids, family, and friends.

About the Team: Meet Mary

I’ve been interested in fitness and involved in some sort of sport most of my life but, like most people, fell out of the habit as I entered adulthood. My job was stressful and I didn’t make time for myself until a friend suggested we start working out together. I was amazed at how much this small change helped me manage my stress and how much better I felt. After a few years I decided to switch careers and became a personal trainer. Although my life has changed in many ways since making that switch (I got married and had a child) my devotion to fitness has remained steadfast. I love working as a trainer where I get to help people reach their goals and improve their lives.

When I’m not working I’m chasing my 3 year old son and hanging out with my husband and our friends/families.
